Solace is a Leeds-based charity which provides psychotherapy and support to the survivors of persecution and exile living in the Yorkshire and Humber region.
Existing platform constraints
Solace was facing challenges in expanding their eLearning platform. With rising costs for adding additional courses and accommodating more user sign-ups, the charity needed to find a more cost-effective solution.
Leveraging the existing WordPress platform already in use, we conducted research to identify plugins that would enable Solace to create unlimited courses and support unlimited user sign-ups without incurring additional expenses. This approach provided a scalable and budget-friendly solution to their challenges.

Homepage re-designed
The charity aimed to encourage customers to adopt the new service and sought to prioritize the eLearning platform over other business offerings. The homepage's main panel was identified as a natural area to promote the service. Instead of relying solely on static images, the panel included direct links to specific training services offered by Solace.
Additionally, the integration of user account and login features in the header, along with side navigation links to eLearning courses, ensured that the service was easily accessible and intuitive for users.

Growth in user sign-ups and usage.
When the updated service was launched, users found it intuitive and easy to navigate, resulting in only a few minor issues for the support desk to address. The website has experienced steady growth in new user sign-ups, while existing users have transitioned smoothly from the older platform. Additionally, we observed an increase in both engagement levels and course completion rates compared to the previous system.
